How can Adath Shalom members help in the local community?

Faith Kitchen in Dover

Donations of the following good and goods can be dropped of at Faith Kitchen inside the Trinity Lutheran Church Monday-Friday 11 AM to 12 PM.  Upon arrival, kindly specify the donation is for Faith Kitchen.  Contact Joanne Bleecker for further questions.

  • Lunchables Uploaded with Turkey & Cheddar Sub Sandwich, 15 oz Box (Walmart, Target, etc.)
  • Lunchables Uploaded Deep Dish Pizza, 11.4 oz Box (Walmart, Target, etc.)
  • Bumble Bee Tuna Salad Snack On The Kit, 3.5 oz (Walmart, Target, Costco, BJ's, etc.)
  • Juice packs or flavored water cans, packs, or plastic bottles.
  • Individually wrapped portions of breakfast bars (those easy to chew), potato chips, Chex Mix, or any kind of chip or pretzel, peanuts, cookies, goldfish crackers, fruit cups, and pudding cups
  • 2-gallon ziplock plastic bags of any brand
  • Shoprite gift cards

Jewish Relief Agency

Jewish Relief Agency logoSince 2014, Adath Shalom has partnered with the Jewish Relief Agency to bring vital boxes of food to families in need. The JRA in its hands-on door to door approach feeds over 500 families a month  with volunteers of all ages.
 

With a generous donatiJRA volunteerson of $18 or more, a beautiful acknowledgement will accompany your box of food for the recipient family.

You can drop off the following items directly at the Nourish site in Morristown or go to their website and make a monetary donation.

  • Hearty cans of soup/chili/stew (preferably flip-top)
  • Low sugar cereal
  • Individual packets of nuts or trail mix
  • Canned chicken/tuna
  • Toiletries: shampoo, razors, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste
  • Umbrellas/rain ponchos
  • White tube socks
  • L and XL t-shirts
