Here's a little quiz for you:

What do we have 1.5 of in the Haggadah?

Where is the number 2 mentioned in the Haggadah?

What do we have 3 of in the Haggadah?

What do we have 4 of in the Haggadah?

What do we have 5 of in the Haggadah?

What do we have 6 of in the Haggadah?

What do we have 10 of in the Haggadah?

What do we have 14 of in the Haggadah?

Where do we 15  of in the Haggadah?

Where is the number 70 mentioned in the Haggadah?

And... what  or who is not mentioned in the Haggadah at all??? Why, Moses! He is not mentioned in the Haggadah outside of a brief reference in a prooftext. And, why is that? There are many answers, the most common one is that the early Rabbis wanted to emphasize God's role in the events, especially the miraculous nature of the plagues and the splitting of the Sea. This was also to prevent elevating Moses to God-like status.

If you want the answers to the questions above... I refer you to this wonderful song by Eliana Light.

Moses Isn't In The Haggadah - Eliana Light The only number she didn't reference in the song is the second one... "Where is the number 2 mentioned in the Haggadah?" It is the number of Zuzim  (coins) which which the goat was purchased in the song "Chad Gadya". There are many numbers in the Haggadah, including the "Who Knows One" song. This is just a start. Maybe there are a few numbers we missed... so go hunting!
